The Routledge Encyclopaedia of Philosophy has recently had a significant update which includes 10 brand new articles and 7 revisions, including contributions from some of the most celebrated authors in the field.

Taylor & Francis – Library and Information Science

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce the addition of the Library and Information Science Collection from Taylor & Francis to the BnU Portal.

This collection includes, among others:

  • Collection Management;
  • Journal of Electronic Resources Librarianship;
  • Journal of Interlibrary Loan, Document Delivery & Electronic Reserve;
  • The Reference Librarian;
  • The Serials Librarian.

The Journal “Nature” Now Available

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce the addition of the journal Nature to the BnU Portal.  You now have access to not only the most recent 4 years via Nature itself but also most articles from 1997 to last year via Ebsco.

Access to Nature is available by searching on the title “Nature” under the “Find e-journal” tab of the BnU Portal.

Quand vous cliquez sur le bouton, le portail cherchera dans tous les produits disponibles dans le portail et vous montrera si le texte intégral est disponible.

Ce bouton se retrouve à plusieurs endroits :

Trial: Rock’s Backpages

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce the trial period of Rock’s Backpages. Rock’s Backpages is an on-line library of popular music journalism, sourced from freelance contributions to the music and mainstream press from the 1950s to the present day. It is the ultimate rock & roll on-line library – an ever-growing archive of legendary interviews, classic features, and ground breaking reviews.

Rock’s Backpages is available on trial until the end of August 2011 via Consortium Luxembourg’s electronic documentation portal under the letter “R” on the “Find Database” tab.

Scopus & Science Direct – Firefox 5 Not Supported

It has just come to our attention that Scopus and Science Direct do not support Firefox 5.  If you are accessing Scopus and/or Science Direct, please use either Firefox 2, 3 or 4 or Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8.

Users at other institutions have also reported problems accessing the full text PDF files on Science Direct. If you do experience this problem, instead of directly opening the PDF file, you may find it necessary to right-click on the link and choose “Save As”.

More Springer e-Books Now Available

Consortium Luxembourg is pleased to announce the addition of the 2011 Springer e-books to the Consortium Luxembourg Electronic Documentation Portal.

Access is provided to all English and German language Springer e-books from 2005 to 2011 inclusive. The books cover a variety of subjects including:

  • Architecture and Design;
  • Behavioral Science;
  • Biomedical and Life Science;
  • Business and Economics;
  • Chemistry and Materials Science;
  • Computer Science including Lecture Notes in Computer Science;
  • Earth and Environmental Science;
  • Engineering;

  • Medicine;
  • Physics and Astronomy; and
  • Professional and Applied Computing.

Topics covered in the German collection include:
